The 2014 Latour is one of the best wines from a vintage that favored the northern Médoc. The 2014 Latour is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.25% Merlot, 0.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.25% Petit Verdot. Blending aromas of wild berries and cassis with hints of cigar paper, loamy soil, black truffles and stylish new oak, it is full, rich and concentrated, the broad attack leads to a deep, tightly wound mid-palate framed by powdery, chalky tannins and clear acidity, ending with a long, mouth-watering finish.
