2020 Woodlands Chardonnay Wilyabrup Valley

Since 1973, Woodlands has been producing great Chardonnay & Bordeaux varietals in Wilyabrup Valley, a sub region of the Margaret River wine region in Western Australia.   The 2020 Chardonnay is truly gorgeous with aromas of yellow peach, apricot, and nectarine.  The palate has a ton of orchard fruits, combined with elderflower and grilled cashews.  The citrusy acidity flows throughout and gets your saliva glands going.  

Match this wine with rice noodle salad tossed in peanut sauce, sprinkled with coriander and crushed peanuts, or try slow roasted roma tomato tarte tatin topped with shaved manchego cheese.

Fermented with native yeasts and natural malo. Following fermentation, 60% wine remained in 300L Hogs Heads and 500L Puncheons for 10 months, 30% of which being new.
